ECIDS Data Policy Committee
Purpose: To govern ECIDS and to develop policies and procedures necessary for the implementation, maintenance, security, and improvement of ECIDS.
Vision: All children receive the care and support they need to enter school healthy and ready to learn.
Mission: Facilitate the use of integrated data to ensure young children receive the care and support they need to enter school healthy and ready to learn.
ECIDS has one governing committee, the ECIDS Data Policy Committee (ECIDS DPC). The ECIDS DPC is comprised of voting members representing agencies and programs which have a current, fully executed ECIDS data sharing agreement with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Phase I Objectives:
- Facilitate the development & deployment of de-identified, disaggregated, dynamic data reports that display a summary count and a distinct count of children that have been served by one or more programs participating in ECIDS and the sequence/order those services were received.
- Determine which data elements from ECIDS data sources will be exported into the state’s longitudinal data system, the Utah Data Research Center (UDRC).
- Support the development of data sharing agreements and procedures which will provide ECIDS data sources access to de-identified, unit-level, matched student assessment data housed at UDRC.
- Support the development of an interactive community assessment data tool which can be used by various early childhood programs & stakeholders to inform programmatic, policy & funding decisions.
